SaaS security

Businesses are exposed to a range of security risks inherent with information technology systems. Proper management for these risks permits a company to anticipate vulnerabilities, develop technology policies, and deploy technology that will minimize the effects of a security risk.

Insperity takes information technology security seriously. Security Policies, Security and Awareness Training, enterprise-level security infrastructure components, internal and external assessments and independent audits are several methods we use to protect ourselves against a security event.

Businesses are also exposed to a range of natural and manmade disasters. Insperity takes disaster recovery and business continuity seriously. We know that a disruption of our business not only affects us, but our customers as well. Fault tolerance, system redundancy, and site redundancy are several methods we use to protect ourselves against disasters.

  • We employ a strong security model to prevent one customer from accessing data of another customer.
  • Insperity uses end-to-end SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to encrypt all of your data during transmission.

System redundancy

Sometimes a machine or device will fail. Insperity uses redundant components within individual hardware devices as well as complete redundant systems at our primary processing facility and our redundant site.

Site redundancy

Disasters such as tornados, hurricanes, or floods have a potential to destroy an entire facility. In the unlikely event that one of these should occur, we have constructed a redundant site at a remote and secure location that houses redundant copies of all of our critical systems.

Hot backups

All production data is stored immediately to redundant locationsHot backups provide the ability to restore your data rapidly and reliably.

Offsite backups

All data is automatically backed up and stored offsiteBackups are stored offsite in a secure location and safeguarded against almost any environmental conditions.

Availability

  • We have consistently delivered 99.9% uptime since our inception.
  • Insperity maximizes application availability by operating multiple geographically separated data centers.
  • Data center redundancy includes data mirroring, disaster recovery and failover.
  • Emergency generators configured as N + 1 typically provide backup power.
  • Uninterruptible power systems (UPSs) are provisioned as 2N.
  • Concurrently maintainable 2N cooling is configured to allow for proper heat dissipation, permitting the sites to operate within an acceptable temperature range.
  • Halon fire suppression system for fire protection.
