Tim Proffitt is a cybersecurity leader and published author with over 30 years of experience in the technology field. Proffitt has earned more than 25 industry certifications and has experience in all manner of technology security, infrastructure, forensics, compliance, risk management and security awareness. His current research focuses on disaster recovery, malicious insiders and digital forensics. Dr. Proffitt holds a doctorate in information systems management from Walden University, a Master of Science degree in information security from SANS Technology Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Sam Houston State University. In his free time, Dr. Proffitt is faculty at two universities teaching at the bachelor's and master's levels.
