Tim has earned more than 25 industry certifications and has experience in all manner of technology security, infrastructure, forensics, compliance, risk management and security awareness. His current research interest focuses on disaster recovery, malicious insiders and digital forensics. Dr. Proffitt holds a Ph.D. in information systems management, an M.S. in information security from SANS.edu and a B.S. in computer sciences from SHSU.edu. He is a certified information systems security professional (CISSP).
