Insperity Corporate Social Responsibility

At Insperity, we are fully committed to supporting our communities, providing a healthy and safe workplace for our employees, and helping the environment in any way we can. Through supporting programs, corporate philanthropy and dedicated volunteers, our corporate social responsibility initiatives make a big impact. The following snapshot illustrates a number of ways Insperity made a difference in 2011.

Community
  • Insperity employees have up to 12 hours per quarter of paid volunteer time during working hours. In 2011, employees logged almost 45,000 hours of volunteer time.
  • 77 percent of Insperity employees participate in the company
    volunteer program.
  • Employees donated about $159,220 to the Insperity Fund, a program for employees in crisis.
  • Company philanthropic efforts grossed more than $2.6 million.
   
Health and Well-being  
  • Insperity hosted five Lunch & Learn events that covered various wellness topics, like smoking cessation, work-life balance and the importance of a fitness routine. More than 200 employees attended each session.
  • About 320 corporate employees attended the annual corporate Health Fair.
  • Health risk assessments are available for each employee to receive immediate feedback on the current state of their health.
  • Insperity completed 338 workplace ergonomics evaluations.
   
Safety
  • 15 safety consultants received OSHA training.
  • 28 OSHA Outreach Courses were conducted around the country.
  • Conducted 146 safety technology training classes for 1,293 managers
    and supervisors nationally.
  • 90% of our clients were completely satisfied with our safety services.
   
Environment
  • 13 Insperity office buildings have earned either Gold or Silver Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certifications.
  • Energy management system maximizes the efficiency of heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Ongoing lighting retrofit program helps reduce energy consumption. Each new LED light reduces wattage from 65 to 13.5 watts while giving off the same amount of light.
  • An irrigation system with motion sensors maximizes water conservation.
  • Insperity uses organic fertilizers and paints low in volatile organic compounds in all facilities.
  • In 2011, Insperity recycled 138 tons of mixed recyclable materials.
